My “Personal Learning Environment”
This article is to touch base and share where I am currently at with my personal learning environment. I find that Netvibes has helped me in a lot of ways in receiving information that I would normally browse sites and take time out of my busy schedule to look for. The concept of Netvibes is a great tool not only for my IMD class and school, but for everyday usage. I find it useful for personal usage anywhere from car forum RSS Feeds to daily Adobe tutorials that I normally take the time to browse around for. I have tabs on Netvibes from Adobe to car forums to image browsing. Sometimes you don’t have all day to do that. With the use of Netvibes, you can simply have one page open and not 100 of them. I like the fact that my own personal interest are on a single page. It’s a great tool and I have encouraged many other individuals from school to work to use this great tool for everyday usage. I plan to use it even after graduation and when I am in the work field. Wikipedia.com has been very useful as well. I can browse for class homework on articles I need to read and report on. My aggragators can to be very useful as well. They have a tendency to attract a lot of junk, but very useful for my typography, design, adobe, RSS Feeds. I will continue to use Netvibes and explore more ways to use the tool.

Agreed, Netvibes not only helps us with our IMD class, but is great for everyday use.
Not much to add a here. I love netvibes, but I have lost my tendency to browse. Though that may be attributed to my lack of internet access, it’s still not very good, I think.
I find that my aggregator (Google Reader) gathers more junk, so I have to be really selective in what I choose. Netvibes’ search feature is a lot more easier and user-friendly IMO. The “pre-set” pages you can import to your netvibes are really cool and can really cut down your search time because you’re provided instantly with a ton of useful links all in one spot. I definitely can see myself using Netvibes well after this class is over.
I love netvibes.. it’s made it easier for anyone to find updates on certain sites. I know now I don’t have to open safari and open each link to check on any new updates. I just have to open netvibes and check it all in one nice place.
i loooovvveee netvibes its so easy to use and understand there is nothing hard about using it and its easy to go to a website and see the sign up in the left hand search bar that lets you easily subscribe to something. I also like that fact you can check email and keep up with things just from one place plus you can separate things into categories so that not everything is all piled together in one folder or inbox and what not.
I’m in between. I use iGoogle ALOT however I do see the handiness of Netvibes. I think for me it so coonvienent to go to Google and get my email and access my agregator via clicks as opposed to logging into different sites.
